Job Description

• Positioning and selling company products professionally and creatively • Engaging and qualifying new and existing customers • Partnering closely with internal and field-based sales team members • Developing a strong understanding of Illumina’s technology and products • Establishing and executing on strategies for obtaining new customers • Effectively selling the total Illumina product portfolio • Making outbound contact to identify sales opportunities • Presenting versatile and unique solutions during customer negotiations • Managing customer relationships post-sale

Job Requirements

  • Strong Genetics and Molecular Biology foundation
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Life Science laboratory, Sales role or related field
  • Experience with strategic sales skills
  • Conducts presentations effectively
  • Preferred knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing and Genotyping methods
  • Self-motivated to continue learning
  • Desire to collaborate within a team selling environment
