Role Description
This is a full-time, remote position.
- Join our collaborative network team and help expand and strengthen our provider partnerships.
- Identify and pursue contracting opportunities, engage providers on the value of participation, negotiate competitive terms, and partner internally to ensure accurate implementation and ongoing support of contracted providers.
- Identify and research potential contracting targets based on network needs and utilization, including market dynamics and provider landscape.
- Conduct outreach to providers and present network participation opportunities for workers' compensation and auto.
- Lead contract negotiations, including negotiating rates in both fee schedule and non-fee schedule environments.
- Prepare and manage contract packages, including rate schedules and required documentation.
- Draft, review, and redline contract language, partnering with internal stakeholders to evaluate and approve proposed changes.
- Use tools such as Microsoft Word (track changes/comments) and DocuSign to create, route, and execute agreements.
- Coordinate implementation activities after contract execution to ensure accurate setup and documentation in internal systems.
- Support ongoing provider relationships, including renegotiations and issue resolution related to credentialing or delegated credentialing.
- Maintain organized records and analyze contracting data using advanced Excel skills (e.g., sorting, pivot tables, VLOOKUP) to inform negotiations and track progress.
- Manage your workload independently, prioritizing targets and driving work forward with limited oversight while collaborating closely with cross-functional partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of healthcare contracting experience, including 3+ years of contract negotiation experience (including fee schedule/rate negotiation). Workers' compensation experience required; auto experience preferred.
- Strong provider outreach, relationship-building, and negotiation skills, with the ability to "sell" the value of network participation.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP; ability to sort and analyze data).
- Experience redlining contracts in Microsoft Word (track changes/comments) and managing documents through DocuSign.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Presentation skills (e.g., PowerPoint).
- Comfortable using AI tools and effective prompting to improve efficiency.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, self-directed environment.
Requirements
- No specific certification or license required.
- Up to 10% travel, on rare occasions (e.g., occasional meetings).
- Must have reliable internet.
