Role Description
The IT Support Technician will be responsible for resolving hardware and software issues, assisting with network troubleshooting, and ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure.
- Provide application, network, operating system, and hardware support to end-users on a variety of issues
- Respond to telephone calls, emails, and personal requests for technical support
- Provide onsite assistance as needed
- Provide technical support for laptop, desktop, printer, and network connectivity issues as well as applications
- Responsible for all aspects of the security and health of our network and hardware including but not limited to antivirus protection, patch management, data encryption, etc.
- Install, manage, and support various Windows operating systems and applications
- New end-user setups and email account configuration
- Image new computer hardware in preparation for deployment to end-user, install and update computer software
Qualifications
- An associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
- Two years of technical experience working with network infrastructure, servers, and telecommunications
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems including Windows 11 and Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of TCP/IP technologies such as DHCP, DNS, and related troubleshooting tools
- Solid network troubleshooting skills - TCP/IP concepts and LAN/WAN issues
- Experience working with Windows Active Directory and Office 365
- Ability to configure and monitor antivirus and email security tools
- Experience with SonicWall firewalls, exacqVision NVR, and Verizon MDM is a plus
- The physical requirements associated with this job for lifting up to 30 lbs
- Will be required to travel
