Job Description
Role Description
The Benefits & Leave Specialist administers and supports employee benefit programs and leave management processes across a multi-state workforce. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including FMLA, ADA, state paid leave programs, COBRA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for benefits enrollment, leave administration, and employee inquiries
- Maintain accurate records in HRIS systems and support payroll coordination
- Requires strong attention to detail, regulatory knowledge, and discretion in managing sensitive employee information
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in benefits administration and/or leave management
- Strong working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, COBRA, and state leave laws
- Experience with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data reconciliation
- Ability to manage confidential information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Requirements
- Experience in multi-state employer environment
- Experience supporting federal contracts or SCA employees
- CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP, or Leave Management certification
- Experience with ACA reporting
