Job Description

• Responsible for development of nursing education and professional development programs for assigned scope • Partner with system and market leaders, and subject matter experts to develop and standardize system education and professional development programs • Work in collaboration with nursing leaders and other NPD resources within the facility, market or system to ensure nursing education and professional development initiatives advance opportunities for a competent and confident nursing workforce • Implement system nursing education and professional development programs, support evidence based practice, and nursing research efforts • Uses critical thinking, and applies the nursing process, principles of adult learning, teaching/learning theories and age appropriate teaching strategies to education programs • Understand principles for learning design and integrates learning technology for effective learning experiences • Role models behaviors that embody the mission/vision/values of Bon Secours Mercy Health

Job Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Nursing or related field: Required
  • Post Graduate Degree (Ph.D.) or DNP: Preferred
  • 5 years related experience including 2 years in leadership role with significant business impact: Required
  • Experience with educational program development, establishment of learning objectives, and selection of learning modalities to enhance participant mastery of material: Required
  • Experience with the Magnet and/or Pathways to Excellence recognition programs; expert writing and editing skills; strong written and verbal communication skills: Required
