Job Description

• Role responsible for handling PECI-based payroll integrations in a remote setting. • Workday PECI Integration Engineers will manage PECI-driven payroll data flows. • Collaborate effectively with teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation. • Ensure tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner. • Provide solutions and improvements for PECI file management and payroll data integrity.

Job Requirements

7+ years of professional experience in backend or integration engineering
Strong, hands-on experience working with PECI (Payroll Effective Change Interface)
Designing, generating, parsing, validating, and maintaining PECI files
Managing PECI-driven payroll data flows with high accuracy and reliability
Experience supporting PECI integrations in production environments, not just projects that died after UAT
Solid experience integrating with Workday, especially HCM and payroll-related data
Understanding of how employee and payroll changes propagate through PECI
Familiarity with Workday integration approaches (PECI, EIB, Studio is a plus)
Strong Java backend development experience
Comfortable with file-based integrations (XML, flat files, SFTP)
Experience working with enterprise HR or payroll systems
Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have: Experience working with payroll vendors consuming PECI outputs
Background in HR tech, payroll platforms, or large-scale enterprise systems.
