Role Description

The hiring system is broken. At The Opp Guild, we aren’t just filling seats; we are building bridges. We are a Woman, Minority, Disability and Veteran-owned workforce development firm dedicated to connecting elite military talent, veterans, and military spouses with organizations that value grit and expertise.

We are looking for two (2) Seasoned Recruitment Partners to join us as we scale for our 2026 rollout. We need professionals who understand that high-impact work doesn't require burnout—it requires focus, empathy, and the right tools.

Our Philosophy: Work Smart, Not "All Hours"

  • We don't believe in "hitting the ground running" if it leads to a cliff.
  • We value your expertise and your boundaries.
  • We want partners who are strong enough in their craft to manage their own time effectively.

Your Schedule: You are the master of your calendar.

Your Limits: We encourage you to step away from the keyboard and prioritize your well-being.

The Goal: We care about the quality of the placements and the strength of the connections you build, not the number of hours you sit in a chair.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

  • High-Impact Sourcing: Identify and engage top-tier talent within civilian and military community (Veterans and Spouses).
  • Full-Cycle Management: Lead candidates through the hiring journey—from initial "warm" outreach to successful placement.
  • Relationship Architecture: Act as a consultant for both the candidate and the employer, ensuring the "fit" goes beyond just a resume.
  • System Optimization: Utilize our ATS/CRM tools to keep the pipeline organized and transparent.
  • Mission Alignment: Ensure every placement reflects The Opp Guild’s commitment to military-friendly and inclusive hiring practices.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of strong, verifiable recruitment experience (Agency, Corporate, or Military Recruiting).
  • A deep understanding of the military transition landscape (MOS cross-walking, military spouse employment challenges, etc.).
  • The ability to work independently in a 1099 capacity, managing your own desk and "getting it done" without constant oversight.
  • Exceptional narrative-building skills; you know how to position a candidate’s experience to an employer who might not understand military jargon.
  • Preference: Veterans and Military Spouses are strongly encouraged to apply.

Benefits

  • Competitive Commission: A percentage-based commission structure tailored to your experience and placement success.
  • The Resource Vault: Direct and ongoing access to internal training modules, partner-led certifications, and industry insights to keep your skills sharp.
  • Mentorship & Community: Regular access to mentorship and peer-to-peer networking within the Guild. We ensure you are always "in the know" about market shifts and new opportunities.
  • Path to Growth: As we establish our footprint in 2026, our 1099 partners will be the first considered for future leadership and internal expansion roles or we will help you find employment within our community! We support your personal & professional growth.

How to Apply

We will be reviewing resumes and conducting initial outreach over the next two weeks. Submit your resume and a brief note on why this mission resonates with you.
