Job Description
- Develop and execute strategic sales objectives across medical and adjacent industrial verticals, with a primary focus on medical OEMs and regulated technology environments.
- Build and maintain long-term, consultative relationships with customers, channel partners, and internal cross-functional teams.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, representing Advantech in technical, commercial, and strategic discussions.
- Manage complex sales cycles from opportunity identification through proposal development, negotiation, and production release.
- Leverage domain knowledge in embedded computing, industrial PCs, and system-level architectures to create competitive advantage.
- Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals aligned with customer requirements, long product lifecycles, and compliance considerations.
- Promote Advantech solutions through customer engagements, channel activity, and relevant industry events or trade shows.
- Conduct product and hardware training for customers and channel partners as needed.
- Research and report on market trends, customer requirements, and competitive activity to support sales strategy and account planning.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and manage territory activities and expenses responsibly.
- Travel within the assigned territory to support customers, partners, and key account initiatives.
- 2–4+ years of sales experience selling embedded computing, industrial PCs, or system-level hardware solutions.
- Clinical Medical Device Experience is a plus
- Experience supporting medical, industrial, or other regulated markets preferred, but not required.
- Working knowledge of embedded systems and IPC platforms used in mission-critical or long-lifecycle applications.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with a consultative, customer-focused approach.
- Ability to manage opportunities independently and work effectively in a remote or home-office environment.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented professional with strong accountability and time management skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to approximately 10% of the time.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including prolonged computer use and lifting up to 15 pounds as needed.
