Job Description
Role Description
The Texas Facilities Execution Lead is a high-trust execution role accountable for day-to-day delivery control across Celestica Texas facilities programs, with primary hubs in Richardson and Fort Worth. The role owns the site execution system, interface with GC(s) and key vendors on safety, schedule, scope, cost tracking, quality, change management and readiness/turnover. Work requires operating under ambiguity, establishing disciplined operating cadence (daily/weekly), escalating early with options and recommendations, and providing executive-ready reporting. Erroneous decisions or delayed escalation can have significant impact to safety, schedule, cost and customer commitments.
- Owns the site execution system: daily pulse, weekly look-ahead planning, action burn-down and risk/issue log management.
- Serves as Celestica interface to GC(s) and major trade partners for safety, schedule, scope, cost tracking, quality and change orders.
- Maintains the integrated schedule: critical path, slippages, next steps, root causes and required decisions/escalations.
- Drives change management discipline: identification, documentation, impact framing and escalation for approval per governance.
- Drives readiness/handover gates: commissioning readiness, punch list discipline, documentation/closeout.
- Produces weekly executive reporting in a concise format including schedule status, risks/mitigations, decisions needed, cost tracking control, change orders, key constraints.
- Coordinates with site stakeholders (Facilities, EHS, Operations, IT/Controls as applicable) to remove constraints and enable execution.
- Applies safety leadership and compliance mindset, reinforces stop-work authority and ensures execution aligns with Celestica EHS expectations.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of construction delivery execution (GC operations, trade coordination, RFIs/submittals/change controls, punch/closeout).
- Demonstrated ability to run look-ahead planning, enforce commitments, and drive schedule recovery.
- Strong vendor control mindset (RFP participation/contractor selection support as needed, performance tracking, escalation discipline).
- Commissioning/turnover readiness experience in compliance-heavy environments (EHS focus).
- Effective communication: concise, structured updates, escalates early with options and recommendations.
- High ownership, comfortable operating independently on site and driving results through partners.
- Strong stakeholder management across internal functions and external partners.
Requirements
- Typically 7+ years of experience in construction delivery/owner’s rep/GC project management on industrial or similar builds (manufacturing, warehouses, mission-critical or comparable complexity).
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
