Role Description
This role provides an opportunity to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of a foundational enterprise data platform, enabling reliable, compliant, and AI-ready infrastructure. You will drive initiatives that support analytics, risk modeling, fraud detection, regulatory reporting, and production AI capabilities, ensuring data assets are governed, scalable, and cost-efficient. The position involves close collaboration with engineering, machine learning, risk, compliance, and product teams to define priorities and deliver durable, high-quality data infrastructure. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment, balancing technical excellence with business impact. This role empowers you to shape data platform strategy, optimize operational efficiency, and drive adoption of standardized, trusted datasets across the organization. You will play a pivotal role in enabling self-service analytics, AI workloads, and scalable enterprise solutions.
- Define and execute the multi-year strategy and roadmap for the enterprise data platform, including ingestion, storage, transformation (ETL/ELT), orchestration, metadata management, and access control.
- Establish and enforce enterprise data governance, quality standards, and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, KYC, AML, GDPR).
- Ensure platform reliability, data freshness, certification processes, and measurable health metrics to support analytics and AI workloads.
- Collaborate with engineering and business teams to enable self-service analytics, improve dataset discoverability, and drive adoption of standardized, governed data assets.
- Optimize platform performance and cost efficiency while balancing speed, reliability, scalability, and compliance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure production-ready AI and ML capabilities, operationalizing reusable data foundations for experimentation and feature engineering.
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years in Product Management or equivalent experience focused on data platforms, data engineering, or analytics infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of modern data architectures, including lakehouse, warehouse, ETL/ELT, and streaming/event-driven systems.
- Experience defining and managing data contracts, governance frameworks, and quality standards.
- Proven ability to operate in regulated environments, with SOX compliance experience strongly preferred; fintech or financial services background a plus.
- Technical fluency with data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Kafka/Kinesis, or similar ecosystems.
- Demonstrated success in translating complex technical capabilities into measurable business outcomes and driving cross-functional alignment.
- Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to make principled trade-offs between speed, reliability, compliance, and cost.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and influencing skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote-first environment.
Benefits
- Competitive base salary: $155,000–$165,000 USD, with potential for bonus and equity participation.
- Flexible working culture and remote-first environment.
- Unlimited paid time off and generous paid parental leave.
- Leading family support policies and wellness stipends.
- Company-sponsored 401(k) match.
- Industry-leading employer-sponsored medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- Professional development and learning opportunities.
- Access to modern, collaborative office space (optional) with casual dress code.
