Role Description
As an Account Executive, you will have the opportunity to directly influence how health systems deliver safer, more efficient patient care. You’ll collaborate within a customer‑centric sales pod, partner with clinical and technical experts, and engage with senior healthcare leaders to drive strategic outcomes.
You will play a critical role in expanding Omnicell’s presence, strengthening customer partnerships, and driving measurable business outcomes.
- Accelerate Omnicell’s mission to improve patient and clinician experiences by aligning customer needs with innovative automation, intelligence, and service solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build deep executive relationships with C‑suite, VP‑level, and Director‑level leaders to understand strategic priorities and long‑term business challenges.
- Grow market share by expanding Omnicell’s solution footprint within assigned acute care hospitals and health systems.
- Achieve revenue goals, consistently meeting and exceeding quarterly and annual quota targets.
- Lead strategic account planning by setting mutual performance objectives, implementation milestones, and joint success metrics with customers.
- Connect customer needs to value by analyzing operational, financial, and clinical challenges and mapping them to Omnicell solutions.
- Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations that showcase Omnicell’s value propositions and inspire confidence across all organizational levels.
- Identify cross‑sell opportunities, including replacement products, new solutions, and expanded services.
- Develop robust account‑specific business plans, updating them regularly to reflect progress, risk, and growth pathways.
- Execute on KPIs to build a strong pipeline, increase customer satisfaction, and strengthen long‑term loyalty.
- Serve as a trusted customer liaison, ensuring quick resolution of issues and seamless coordination with internal resources.
- Negotiate and finalize hospital contracts, ensuring alignment with financial targets and customer objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in a healthcare sales environment, or successful completion of Omnicell’s Field Development certification program.
- OR High School Diploma and 3+ years of experience in a healthcare sales environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with complex sales methodologies such as Miller Heiman or Challenger.
- Familiarity with healthcare technology, automation, pharmacy or medication management solutions.
- Strong negotiation, conflict management, and customer service skills, including serving as an Issue Resolution Liaison.
- High comfort navigating cross‑functional teams including clinical, technical, and operational stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge and experience working with acute care hospitals and health systems.
- Proven ability to develop and execute account‑level strategic and tactical sales plans.
- Strong financial acumen, influencing skills, and executive‑level communication capabilities.
- Demonstrated success generating and negotiating hospital contracts.
- Proficiency in MS Office products and Salesforce CRM.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Work Conditions
- Field‑based role with a home office environment.
- 50+% travel required to customer sites, conferences, and Omnicell locations.
- Physical requirements include keyboard use, walking, and occasional lifting of demo equipment for trade shows.
Salary Information
- Base Earning: 80,000-85,000
- Commission Plan Bonus Variable: 125K, uncapped earning potential
- Non Recoverable Draw for 6 months
