Position Title: SAP Configuration Manager

Position Overview:
The SAP Configuration Manager is responsible for overseeing all configuration objects across every SAP module within the organization. This leader will ensure the integrity, consistency, and optimal performance of SAP system configurations, while driving best practices and continuous improvement initiatives. The SAP Configuration Manager manages a team of SAP architects and serves as the primary liaison with our third-party managed services provider and their consultants, ensuring alignment with business goals and delivery of high-quality support and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all SAP configuration activities across all functional and technical modules, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and industry best practices.
- Direct a team of SAP architects, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management to support professional growth and effective project delivery.
- Oversee the work of third-party managed services providers and their consultants, including coordination of tasks, quality assurance, and performance evaluation.
- Collaborate with SAP Product Management, business stakeholders, and IT teams to gather requirements, prioritize enhancements, and resolve configuration-related issues.
- Develop and maintain governance processes for SAP configuration changes, including documentation, version control, and change management procedures.
- Monitor SAP system performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, security policies, and internal controls related to SAP configuration management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in SAP configuration and management, with expertise across multiple SAP modules.
- Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and third-party vendors or consultants.
- Strong understanding of SAP architecture, integration, and best practices for configuration management.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in project management and change management methodologies is a plus.
Reporting Relationship: This position reports directly to the Senior Director of SAP Product Management.
Salary will be commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position.
