Role Description

This role involves supporting the Marketing team through the coordination and implementation of marketing campaigns and social media content for Royal Credit Union and its subsidiary brands.

  • Assist with brand strategy, competitive analysis, and advertising coordination
  • Track and analyze marketing campaign performance, including spending, reach, engagement, and effectiveness
  • Support cross-department marketing initiatives by collaborating with internal teams
  • Assist in content creation and brand strategy work, including copywriting and graphic design
  • Manage and strengthen social media engagement, maintaining content calendars and operating subsidiary brand social media channels

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a University or Technical College program related to Marketing, Digital Marketing, Social Media, Communications, or similar field
  • Must be bondable
  • Experience with creative and video production software, such as Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Understanding of all social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Pinterest
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and work collaboratively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and marketing software tools
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and contribute ideas to team projects
  • Demonstrated work ethic and flexibility in adapting to changing needs and deadlines

Requirements

  • Working approximately 12-15 hours per week during the school year and 30-40 hours per week during the summer
  • Must be able to work remotely throughout the school year and during breaks
  • This is a limited term, non-benefit eligible position from May 2026 through May 2027
  • Must be able to commit to the 12-month internship

Benefits

  • Compensation: $19.86-22.24 per hour (candidates with significant related experience may be higher)
