Job Description
Role: Sales Development Representative
FLSA: Full Time | Exempt | Salaried | Remote (US)
Reports to: Manager, Sales Development
Scope of Position: The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will be responsible for inside sales, lead generation, communication, prospecting, and business development. As an SDR, you will prospect, qualify, and generate opportunities to support the overall growth of the business in the US and select international markets. You'll be the first line of contact in generating new opportunities for the business and play a major role in the growth of our company.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but limited to:
- You will actively seek out new business opportunities through a variety of channels
- Outbound prospecting and generating leads in the food industry in conjunction to following up on inbound leads
- You will be able to quickly research a company, identify current customers for cross sell opportunities, identify non-customers for new logo opportunities, and strategize an approach to create interest for companies in the SMB, Mid-Market, and Enterprise space
- Collaborating closely with Account Executives to develop strategies for target accounts, prospects, and messaging/talk-tracks
- Follow up with leads in a timely and effective manner
- Execute significant outbound activity via targeted cold-calling, emailing, and social touches
- Meet and Exceed Monthly quota to help the team hit our quarterly and yearly goals
- Desire to be in a software sales or other customer-facing positions as a career progression
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication style
- Have a verifiable track record of success and goal attainment
- You have a great attitude, like to collaborate, and work with a growing team
- You are curious: always looking for an opportunity to learn, grow, and give/receive feedback
- You are a results-oriented individual who is excited by the prospect of adding to the continued growth and success of Trustwell
- You are organized and can produce high value conversations with prospects in a large pool of suspects

Required Skills/Abilities
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Prospecting experience selling software into new markets
- Process oriented and very organized
- Ability to productively work remotely
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Proactive mindset
- Experience utilizing technology to research and prospect effectively (ie. LinkedIn, Zoominfo, Salesloft)
- Fearless and have a never give up attitude
- Easily build credibility with potential buyers
- Work effectively within Sales Team
- Deadline and detail-oriented
Education/Experience
- Four-year college degree preferred
- 1 plus years' experience in software sales

The compensation for this role is based on several factors, including the candidate's experience, education, skills, and alignment with the responsibilities outlined for the role. The anticipated on-target earnings (OTE) for this role is up to $80,000 (uncapped). The pay range listed below is the anticipated base salary; with most candidates hired in the mid-range.
