Job Description

Rhino + Jetty is making housing more affordable and accessible for millions of renters each year. We’re the market-leading rental housing platform building simpler, more accessible ways for people to move into homes — and for property managers to lease with confidence.

Our technology removes friction from the move-in process, lowers upfront costs for renters, and helps property managers make faster, more accurate decisions. We support a network of 3 million rental units nationwide and work with 47 of the NMHC Top 100 property owners, including Greystar, Brookfield, Asset Living, UDR, and more.

We pioneered security deposit insurance and continue to push the industry forward with a growing suite of products — from deposit management to lease guarantees and loss-of-employment protection. We’re growing quickly, tackling real problems at scale, and building technology that’s changing how renting works.

This role will be a core member of the Data team, reporting to the Head of Data. The team builds and maintains our data infrastructure and delivers machine learning and analytics that drive business decisions.

In this role, you will:

  • Build and maintain reporting frameworks and dashboards that power external partner-facing analytics, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across all B2B2C reporting surfaces
  • Partner with product, revenue, and partner operations teams to surface revenue opportunities across the value chain: partner economics, conversion funnels, and customer lifetime value
  • Design and execute analyses (cohort studies, trend analyses, A/B test readouts) to measure product, pricing, and partner performance impacts
  • Own the data pipeline from raw data to partner-ready insight - including data validation, QA, and documentation of reporting methodologies
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable narratives for both internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Dig into messy data, identify patterns, and move quickly from question to insight to recommendations

We're ideally seeking:

  • Fast to first insight - you get to a useful answer quickly, then decide whether to go deeper based on what the business and partners actually need
  • Experience with growth metrics, funnel analysis, LTV modeling, retention analysis, or partner performance reporting
  • Track record of influencing product or commercial decisions through data; you let the data lead and know how to present findings clearly enough that stakeholders act on them
  • 5-7 years of experience in a data analytics, business intelligence, or quantitative role
  • Strong SQL skills and experience building and maintaining external-facing reports or dashboards (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Mode, or similar BI tools)
  • Comfort with statistical concepts - hypothesis testing, regression, segmentation - and knowing when rigor matters vs. when directional is enough
  • Ability to work autonomously - you can be a genuine member of two teams at the same time, own the bidirectional relationship, and drive toward answers without close direction
  • Comfort in a fast-paced environment where reporting requirements evolve as partnerships scale

Nice to have:

  • Strong communication skills with external partners - you can clarify ambiguous data requests, and present results directly to third parties without requiring an intermediary
  • Experience with statistical modeling (forecasting, propensity scoring, segmentation models) - you don't need to be a data scientist, but you can build a useful model when the situation calls for it
  • Proficiency in Python or R for analysis and visualization

Compensation & Benefits:

Base Salary Range: $105,000 - $125,000

Rhino + Jetty has partnered with a number of compensation benchmarking tools to determine competitive and fair market pay bands for our size and stage. Our goal is to ensure each employee is paid equitably and competitively while also maintaining a consistent and standardized methodology.

Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors including qualifications for the role, experience level and balancing internal equity relative to other teammates.

Base salary is just one part of our Total Rewards Package here at R + J. In connection with this position, we also offer:

  • Competitive cash compensation package including base salary, milestone based bonus, and other financial perks
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage (up to 90% employer contribution) - eligible from your start date
  • 401(k), HSA, Life & Disability Insurance Coverage ($0 employee contribution for additional insurances)
  • Unlimited PTO Policy
  • Generous Paid Parental Leave
  • Stock option plan to give our employees a direct stake in R + J's success
  • Remote-first work culture with opportunities to collaborate as a team in person
  • Monthly lifestyle stipend to fit your needs (meals, wellness, co-working)
