Role Description
This position is responsible for identifying and recruiting new preneed distribution partners in the US. This includes:
- Prospecting, supporting the onboarding of new partners
- Upskilling partner’s Field Sales Representatives for effectiveness
- Providing data/trend analysis to change behaviors
- Supporting field experience and driving overall partner sales of Preplanning Solutions products
- Conducting work face-to-face or through virtual channels
Through effectively cultivated business relationships, the role executes the vision, strategic direction, and program implementation for the preneed market through IMOs and Sales Counselors.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop pipeline of new distribution partners in the Preneed IMO space
- Prospect, recruit, onboard and optimize sales from contracted IMOs
- Serve as the key point of contact with assigned distribution accounts
- Maintain strategic and day-to-day relationships with assigned accounts
- Establish sales goals and implementation plans for Preneed in consultation with the VP, Preplanning Solution
- Upskill Sales field force to drive Preneed Sales with a focus on a profitable product mix
- Make recommendations for new products based on feedback and information observed in the field
- Provide input for the overall Preneed business planning process
- Gather detailed information about Agent/counselors and analyze data to develop sales strategies
- Propose products and services that support the strategic plan and profitable growth
- Manage performance to sales plan using metrics and scorecards
- Develop and deliver monthly/quarterly/annual Business Reviews
- Maintain ongoing knowledge and awareness of activities and challenges/opportunities
- Track all activities executed in Sales Force
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience, preferably within the financial services or Insurance industry
- Preneeds industry experience preferred
- Strong sales aptitude and proven track record of success
- Demonstrated knowledge of Preplanning Solutions products and services
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain deadlines
- Ability to comprehend and follow complex processes
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to integrate computer technology into sales processes
- Demonstrated strong collaboration and teamwork abilities
- Proven experience in developing strategies to improve competitive position
- Demonstrated ability to deliver effective presentations
- Up to 50% travel required
