Job Description
Role Description
At Circle Medical, we’re redesigning primary care for the modern world. By combining technology, AI, and thoughtful design, we provide a vastly improved physician and patient experience. We are looking for a passionate, mission-driven engineer who takes pride in the products they build. As a Fullstack engineer, you'll work alongside other engineers, product designers, operation experts, and clinicians to build physician-facing and patient-facing features in the platform. Our primary tech stack is built with React, GraphQL, Next.js, Ruby/Rails, and PostgreSQL. That being said, we believe in using the right tool for the job.
This is a remote-first role; however, to ensure operational alignment, we are specifically seeking candidates currently based in the Eastern time zone within the United States.
- Implement, test, and maintain features in physician-facing Web applications.
- Work in collaboration with the product designer to create a delightful user experience.
- Write secure, HIPAA-compliant software that patients and clinicians can trust.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to hiring, culture, and best practices.
- Contribute to the engineering culture and hiring.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as a Fullstack Engineer with a lean towards platform/back-end work.
- 2+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Excellent knowledge of GraphQL, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js.
- Good eye for design and ability to make product decisions.
- Ability to take ownership and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- Experience in healthcare or a strong interest in improving patient care.
- Experience shipping and maintaining a large software system.
- Experience with AI development tools and building/maintaining AI capabilities.
- Open to feedback, eager to learn, and committed to developing your craft.
- Experience making product and design decisions in addition to technical ones.
- Knowledge of computer security and best practices for protecting sensitive data.
Compensation
Our compensation is market-aligned, performance-led, and designed to ensure internal equity. We review pay regularly, with progression tied to demonstrated impact and expanded scope rather than tenure alone. Final offers are determined by an applicant's unique skills, competencies, and qualifications.
The annual compensation varies depending on location:
- Tier 1 (New York and similar cost markets): $146,800 to 183,600 USD.
- Tier 2 (Baltimore and similar cost markets): $130,560 to 163,200 USD.

- Canada (Quebec, Ontario, and Atlantic Provinces): $143,351 to 179,189 CAD.
Benefits
