Role Description
The Strategic Client Executive (SCE) serves as the primary executive point of contact for Zelis’ Property & Casualty (P&C) clients, managing a strategic book of large, complex carriers, TPAs, and risk-bearing organizations within the specialty vertical. This role is focused on driving enterprise value across Zelis solutions that support workers’ compensation, auto/liability, and other casualty lines of business.
- Maximize the breadth and depth of relationships by working closely with clients to understand their business strategies, needs, and challenges.
- Manage and oversee revenue targets, including budgets, forecasts, and product utilization review for the assigned book of business.
- Responsible for client renewals and retention, leading contract negotiations and managing the complete life cycle to renew client agreements.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks such as volume decreases, service gaps, and changes in client relationships.
- Drive revenue growth through existing product optimization and communicate key differentiators, product strategy, features, and functionality.
- Uncover and qualify opportunities for growth to deliver client value, collaborating with sales to present innovative solutions.
- Illustrate and validate client outcomes consistently, leveraging client reporting and knowledge of client’s business goals.
- Conduct and lead all client business reviews and account plans to optimize value with the client's book of business.
- Ensure industry-leading quality service delivery and client satisfaction, including proactive client management and timely issue resolution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or health care administration or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years’ experience in strategic client management, preferably within Property & Casualty, workers compensation, or Auto liability insurance.
- Demonstrated success in revenue management and increased utilization within an assigned book of business of enterprise and strategic clients.
- Ability to think strategically and act proactively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and public speaking capabilities.
- Deep understanding of the client’s business, including markets, competitors, objectives, and challenges.
- Ability to cultivate deep relationships with clients and team members.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to interpret client financials.
- Innovative thinking to bring creative insights to client businesses.
- Ability to actively partner across business units to communicate client needs and issues.
