Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join Yubico's finance team. You will own a variety of complex general ledger, financial analysis, and reporting responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator with exceptional attention to detail and the high-level analytical skills required to manage critical and sensitive data. This position focuses on driving an efficient and accurate month-end close, interpreting and applying complex accounting policies, and leading process improvement initiatives to scale our financial operations in a fast-growing global environment.

  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation and high-level review of complex journal entries and global consolidations.
  • Maintain and optimize the general ledger within NetSuite, ensuring sub-ledger integrity and managing automated workflows (e.g., fixed assets, amortizations, and bank feeds).
  • Perform intricate bank and balance sheet reconciliations, proactively detecting, investigating, and resolving discrepancies in a multi-currency environment.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow). Provide variance analysis and insights to ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP.
  • Identify, design, and implement process improvements and internal controls to streamline transactional workflows and reduce the time-to-close.
  • Act as a primary finance liaison for other departments; provide expert guidance on accounting policies and promptly address complex financial queries from managers and directors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in NetSuite is required.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets (e.g., nested formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling).
  • Deep working knowledge of US GAAP and experience maintaining internal controls.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting financial data to staff, managers, and executive leadership.
  • Experience with Confluence, Google Workspace, and integrated fintech tools (e.g., Expensify, Bill.com) preferred.

Benefits

  • Freedom and Flexibility: Work 100% from home or choose to work hybrid/onsite.
  • Health coverage: Top of the line health plans, including dental and vision. We pay 100% of your premium and 85% for your family.
  • Retirement plan: 401K dollar per dollar match up to 6% with a cap of $6K/year. Immediate vesting.
  • Wellness reimbursement: $1,200.00 in wellness earnings (prorated based on start date).

  • Commuter Benefits: Available for those commuting to the office.
  • Strong mission & company values: A global mission to make the internet more secure for everyone.
