Role Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Team Lead to manage and oversee US and international payroll operations. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing, commission calculations, and 401(k) contributions while supporting finance with payroll estimations. The ideal candidate will act as the point of contact for escalated payroll queries and proactively identify opportunities to improve payroll processes.

  • Accurately and timely process the company's payroll.
  • Develop, implement, and manage payroll-related policies, procedures, controls, and formulate recommendations for improvements.
  • Liaise with ADP regarding payroll-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Reconcile payroll/accounts ledger with the accounting department.
  • Communicate with managers and staff and train them on payroll-related matters, particularly the ADP Workforce Now time and attendance system and employee dashboard.
  • Assist with employee benefits, including 401(k) plan implementation, enrollment, and management.
  • Coordinate with the Human Resources department regarding data collection, maintenance, security, and integrity.
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3-4+ years of proven experience managing payroll processes, applications, reporting tools, and time & attendance systems; ADP Workforce Now experience preferred.
  • Strong US payroll and benefits knowledge.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in payroll or finance teams.
  • Hands-on experience with ADP and Deel payroll platforms.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent professional certifications/work experience in payroll.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple projects while handling a high volume of detailed tasks.

  • Exceptional proficiency in both spoken and written English is essential for this role.
