Job Description

This remote third-shift role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of critical network operations within complex enterprise environments. You will execute and manage Moves, Adds, Changes, and Deletions (MACD) across diverse infrastructure systems, ensuring stability, security, and performance. Acting as a primary technical contact during your shift, you’ll support live production networks, resolve high-priority issues, and implement vulnerability patches. The position combines deep technical expertise with customer interaction and SLA-driven service delivery. If you thrive in high-responsibility roles, enjoy solving complex networking challenges, and excel in structured yet fast-paced environments, this opportunity delivers both impact and growth. Execute end-to-end MACD activities across routing, switching, and security infrastructure, including ACL modifications, VLAN changes, routing updates, interface configuration adjustments, and high-availability configurations. Perform critical and optional vulnerability patching on network devices including Cisco switches, wireless controllers, Meraki infrastructure, Cisco ASA, and Palo Alto firewalls. Troubleshoot and resolve configuration, hardware, and software issues in live production environments, coordinating vendor escalations when necessary. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned tickets, ensuring timely resolution in accordance with contracted SLAs. Participate in client meetings to review priority incidents, provide infrastructure guidance, and maintain familiarity with client network environments. Conduct testing and validation of new features and patches before and after deployment to ensure operational stability. Provide rotating emergency on-call support and maintain active communication via phone, messaging, email, and collaboration tools during third-shift hours (12:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. ET, Monday–Friday). Identify process improvement opportunities and communicate recommendations to leadership.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional/military experience.
  • 5–8 years of experience in network engineering roles with hands-on MACD execution across enterprise environments.
  • Deep expertise in routing, switching, and network security technologies.
  • Strong experience with Cisco and Palo Alto environments, including patch management and production-level troubleshooting.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNP, PCNSE, or CMNA (or active pursuit of certification).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tickets and operational processes simultaneously while maintaining high service quality.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering teams and leadership levels.
  • Ability to escalate high-impact operational issues appropriately and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Availability to work fully remote within the Continental US during designated third-shift hours.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary aligned with experience and technical expertise.
  • Fully remote role within the Continental United States.
  • Opportunity to work with advanced enterprise network technologies.
  • Exposure to diverse client environments across multiple industries.
  • Professional development support, including certification growth.
  • Inclusive and equal opportunity workplace committed to diversity and fair hiring practices.
  • Rolling application review process.
