Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive Shopify Project Manager to lead complex e-commerce projects from discovery through launch and post-launch optimization. Lead full lifecycle Shopify projects: discovery, scope definition, planning, execution, QA, launch, and post-launch support. Manage store builds, custom theme development, API integrations, third-party app implementations, embedded app workflows, and platform migrations (WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce → Shopify). Develop detailed project plans, define milestones, allocate resources, and ensure deliverables meet agreed timelines and quality standards. Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct regular status meetings and provide structured progress updates. Translate technical requirements into clear documentation and client-friendly explanations. Manage scope changes, feedback loops, and resolve conflicts professionally. Collaborate with developers, designers, SEO and CRO specialists. Ensure clear task ownership, sprint alignment, and accountability. Work closely with technical teams on Shopify API integrations, custom theme builds, custom and embedded app coordination, checkout customizations, data migration and validation. Facilitate sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives when needed. Maintain timelines, budgets, and task boards using tools such as Asana, JIRA, and Slack. Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies. Monitor project health and proactively remove blockers. Ensure projects remain within scope, timeline, and budget. Coordinate QA prior to launch. Ensure integrations and data migrations meet technical specifications. Oversee final delivery and post-launch monitoring. Maintain structured documentation for internal and client reference.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven experience managing Shopify projects (agency or multi-client environment preferred).
  • Strong technical understanding of Shopify ecosystem & architecture.
  • Shopify API integrations.
  • Custom theme development (Liquid preferred).
  • Store migrations and data mapping.
  • Third-party app integrations.
  • Embedded app workflows (plus).
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Proficiency with Asana, JIRA, Slack or similar tools.
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to independently lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Shopify-focused agency background.
  • Experience with Shopify Plus.
  • Exposure to CRO, SEO, and performance optimization.
  • Experience managing international or multi-store builds.
  • Understanding of e-commerce analytics and performance tracking.
