Job Requirements
- Formalized education in coding classifications, UHDDS reporting, medical terminology, anatomy, chemistry, pharmacology, physiology, and disease process.
- Preferred Associates Degree in Health Information Management.
- Minimum CCS certification.
- Preferred CCS and RHIT or RHIA certifications.
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience; 7 years preferred.
- Knowledge and skills to support other coding staff, communicate effectively, work with minimum supervision, and apply critical thinking skills.
