Job Description

• Lead the planning, execution, and management of strategic client and partner relationships within MERIT’s Oncology Division. • Own assigned sales programs and initiatives, including conference strategy, targeted outreach, and account development activities. • Identify, qualify, and advance complex opportunities from early engagement through close. • Serve as the primary point of contact for designated accounts within a defined therapeutic area or disease focus. • Establish and sustain long-term relationships with business and clinical leaders at pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. • Ensure MERIT’s services are positioned and utilized effectively to meet study objectives. • Mentor and support junior business development associates, contributing to skill development and best-practice sharing with the oncology commercial team.

Job Requirements

  • A Life Science/ Business Bachelor's or a Master's Degree
  • Minimum 6 years of prior relevant sales/business development experience
  • Preferably relevant experience with a Contract Research Organization
  • Working knowledge of CT, MR, and PET imaging modalities
  • Enjoy meeting new people and establishing business relationships
  • An ability to cultivate and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Office software and ability to learn Company specific software
  • Must be able to project a professional attitude and image appropriate for the work environment.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to participate and contribute in a team environment as a team member or in a leadership role.
  • Oral and written communication is clear, concise, and effective.
