We’re scaling rapidly and looking for an entrepreneurial, driven Strategic Account Manager to join our high-performance sales team.
Job Description
The Opportunity
As a Strategic Account Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in building Thought Industries’ Strategic Accounts. You’ll be responsible for owning the full customer lifecycle sales —while actively pursuing expansion opportunities within your portfolio.
This role is designed for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and is passionate about building their book of business where playbooks are evolving, not pre-defined.
What You’ll Be Doing
Develop a solid and trusting relationship across clients within a given territory and within Thought Industries
Maintain a cadence of communicating with customers about their adoption trends, sentiment, and mining opportunities for deeper engagement
Develop account plans and white space analysis to support 3x pipeline coverage across the portfolio
Proactively seek referrals into additional business units and/or subsidiaries to maximize up-selling or cross-selling opportunities
Develop a complete understanding of account needs and anticipate account changes and improvements
Negotiate contracts with client and establish timeline of performance, including the SaaS renewal
Plan and present reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members, stakeholders, and possible use in future case studies or company training
Analyze client data to provide customer relationship management
Expand relationships and bring in new clients
Qualifications
What You Bring to the Table
7+ years of professional work experience in B2B SaaS Software sales, management, strategic account management or relevant experience
Results-driven mentality, with a bias for speed and action
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Self-motivated and self-directed while also being goal-oriented and organized team player
Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into insights.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be an active listener, a presenter, and a people-person
Experience with SFDC, LinkedIn SalesNavigator, Gong, Gainsight and Zendesk is preferred
Strong G-suite skills
Comfortable in a startup environment: we move quickly and wear many hats in a dynamic environment

The annual base salary for this role is $130,000 with commission earnings up to $130,000.

- Experience selling into large global organizations
- Proven results of delivering client solutions and meeting sales and renewal goals
- In-depth understanding of company strategic clients and their position in the industry
- Extremely strong client management skills and ability to work with customers to demonstrate the value and power of the Thought Industries platform
- Intellectually curious with a passion for what you do and a drive to succeed
- Ability to build sales and business plans for new market segments within specified territories
- Experience calling executives in marketing, sales, learning, and digital strategy
- Adhere to the highest ethical standards and conduct, honors commitments, and treats people with kindness, compassion, trust and respect
- Highly desired: Experience in the learning management software sales domain in the following areas: Software, Professional Training, Associations, Manufacturing, and Business Services.
