Job Description

• Support and lead OCHIN’s multi state-level legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts • Develop and execute advocacy strategies • Build relationships with policymakers • Represent OCHIN across multiple states • Track, analyze, and influence state legislation and regulations • Draft testimony, comment letters, and policy/data briefs • Represent OCHIN in hearings, workgroups, and advocacy forums • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Candidates must be located on the West Coast and live with 1-hour maximum travel time to a major airport
Minimum of 5 years of multi-state government relations experience required
Experience executing multi-state government health care legislative initiatives required
Demonstrated success influencing state policy outcomes
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience/working knowledge in health information technology highly preferred
Experience with community health centers and/or rural hospitals highly preferred
Strong writing and advocacy skills
Skilled at producing high-quality advocacy materials to support state advocacy and member engagement.
