• Contribute to and improve the efficiency of the monthly close processes within Oracle while meeting the Company deadlines determined for financial reporting by delivering accurate, timely and efficient accounting processes including preparation of month-end and quarter-end close activities, and fluctuation analysis with focus on details and drive for continuous improvements. • Prepare and record asset, liability, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information. • Complete balance sheet account reconciliations and ensure balances are accurately stated in accordance with GAAP, statutory, and company policies. • Prepare monthly/quarterly reporting related to costing and inventory, and other ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed. • Assist the Accounting Manager with maintaining cost accounting and inventory schedules and recording related transactions. • Coordinate with lab personnel to ensure costing and receiving processes are completed accurately, and timely. • Update inventory item costs periodically with input from Procurement, Operations, and Accounts Payable to maintain accurate inventory valuations and gross margin results. • Coordinate and support monthly cycle counts, quarterly and annual full physical inventory counts, review for obsolete inventory, and ensure discrepancies are resolved. • Support ERP and technology initiatives.
