Job Description
• Drive business development by identifying, shaping, and advancing opportunities informed by a deep understanding of the device value chain and secondary-market dynamics.
• Identify adjacencies and expansion opportunities in related markets, including channel partners (major VARs), enterprise, government, and healthcare.
• Navigate complex ecosystem dynamics— including device flows, participant roles in the value chain, auctions, resale channels, grading standards, and buyer behavior—to inform opportunity design and positioning.
• Translate Asurion’s advanced technical and supply chain capabilities into differentiated, executable value propositions through close partnership with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams.
• Develop, deepen, and expand relationships with OEMs, carriers, partners, and secondary-market participants to strengthen existing partnerships and expand Asurion’s role and market share within the ecosystem.
• Listen deeply to existing and prospective clients to identify unmet needs and market gaps and work cross-functionally to design and commercialize differentiated solutions that strengthen partnerships and drive growth.
• Partner across Sales, Client Services, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to advance opportunities, support pipeline needs, and contribute to client pitches and RFPs.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in business development or sales roles requiring navigation of complex ecosystems and long-cycle deals.
- Strong understanding of the device value chain and secondary-market dynamics, including how products move through multiple downstream channels.
- Ability to leverage technical and supply chain knowledge to design commercially viable, differentiated solutions.
- Demonstrated success influencing internal stakeholders and partners without formal authority.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance commercial objectives with operational reality.
- Existing industry relationships that can be leveraged to accelerate growth.
- Strong executive presence and storytelling skills across technical, operational, and commercial audiences.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in business development, supply chain services, client services, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Communications, or a related discipline.
