Job Description

• Provide visionary and strategic direction for the Speech Language Pathology program in alignment with the College and the University missions, visions, and values. • Oversee the development, delivery, and evaluation of a high-quality and innovative academic program that meets the needs of diverse learners and the changing healthcare environment. • Meet all accreditation standards and requirements. • Ensure the program provides high-quality, rigorous learning experiences. • Maintain a positive work culture within the program, the College, and the University. • Demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching. • Facilitate a positive connection between each student and the University of the Cumberlands. • Engage in and encourage scholarship. • Promote service to the university, profession, and community.

Job Requirements

Possess an earned doctorate in Speech Language Pathology (preferred) from an accredited institution.
Hold a current and unencumbered Speech Language Pathology license to practice in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Demonstrate academic leadership experience.
Exhibit a record of distinguished teaching, scholarship, and service in Speech Language Pathology education.
Provide evidence of success in curriculum development, program evaluation, accreditation, and assessment.
Display effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Must be able to relate to and communicate with diverse students, faculty, staff, and external communities.
Exhibit a willingness to adopt and support a mindset that focuses on student success.
Serve on appropriate University committees.
Demonstrate a history of employee excellence.
