Job Description
• Serve as the contact and advocate between assigned Service Line Directors and Practice Managers
• Proven analytical skills needed to prepare and analyze monthly reports
• Communicate results of analysis to Service Line Directors and Patient Financial Services Senior Leadership
• Facilitate meetings to determine corrective steps to resolve denials
• Develop and distribute weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports needed by Revenue Cycle Leadership
• Research payer billing guidelines for specific services
• Provide in-depth knowledge and determine best Epic system build options
• Analyze outstanding accounts receivable and credits
• Participate in complex projects related to denial initiatives
• Develop, trend, and report monthly and annual statistical reporting dashboards
• Educate staff regarding billing operations and 3rd party regulations
• Analyze work queues and other system reports
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience Required
- Epic proficiency or certification in Resolute PB desired
- 3 - 5 years of clinical, healthcare operations, revenue cycle experience
- Comprehensive working knowledge of medical/hospital billing practices
- Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding principles.
- Knowledge of Epic or related hospital ADT/Billing software.
- Ability to create, analyze, and interpret financial reports
- Capacity to analyze and think creatively and weigh alternatives.
- Demonstrates attention to detail.
