Job Description
• Lead sales and client service initiatives for William Blair’s Investment Management strategies across the intermediary channel in Florida and Alabama.
• Apply investment product and financial market knowledge to create and maintain key client relationships.
• Grow the territory across the channel and mentor internal staff in developing key relationships with qualified advisors and financial intermediaries.
• Advise management of competitive landscape and client base trends.
• Collaborate with the Head of Intermediary Distribution to set sales goals and objectives.
• Maintain extensive visibility and contacts outside of William Blair
• Generate sales through the direct calling program and utilize strong networking and negotiation skills.
• Develop and maintain deep expertise of all investments; serve as a technical resource.
• Create, maintain and deliver client presentations highlighting investment management products.
• Develop and maintain documentation of client meetings and calling activities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Finance required
- 8+ years of investment product sales required
- SIE Exam, Series 7 and Series 66 (or Series 63 and Series 65) licenses required or must be obtained within 90 days of start
- MBA, CFA, CFP, CAIA, CIMA preferred
- Strong sales and presentation skills
- Deep understanding of investment products and how to position them for maximum effectiveness with different audiences
- High degree of energy, motivation and ability to set own priorities
- Sustained superior sales production record
- Ability to build and maintain working relationships with others to achieve objectives
- Ability to provide coaching and guidance to less experienced team members
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
