Role Description
We are looking for highly-motivated sales development reps to work hand-in-hand with leadership to grow our customer base in the University market. Through outbound emails and calls, your sole responsibility will be to prospect, generate leads, book discovery calls and demonstrations on behalf of the Sales Team.
Business development is not a job for everyone. If you hate cold calling, drafting engaging emails, and just generally speaking with humans, this isn't the role for you. We are looking for self-starters who are tenacious, motivated, organized and professional, excited to build their career in sales!
You'll be interacting with individuals ranging from Administrators to Deans and University Provosts, so the role requires a blend of charm and sophistication, with excellent written and phone communication skills.
Responsibilities Include:
- Outbound calls to educate university career services offices on the high quality offerings of the 12twenty platform
- Qualify prospects and book demos for the Account Executives
- Build quality relationships with our prospects
- Create email campaigns to evangelize our products and generate leads
- Identify potential challenges and opportunities with our prospects and communicate with leadership
Qualifications
- Preferably 1+ years of experience in sales or marketing
- Natural people person and relationship builder
- Tenacity and fantastic follow through
Requirements
- Bonus points for Salesforce experience
- Work experience in Higher Education
