Role Description

We are partnering with a growing legal finance company to add a Business Development professional who already operates within the Personal Injury ecosystem. This role is built for someone who understands how PI law firms make decisions, how cases are funded, and how long-term referral relationships are developed and protected.

If you have sold plaintiff funding, case expense financing, legal finance products, PI-focused medical services, or software/services directly to Personal Injury firms, this is a strategic opportunity to own and grow market share. Success in this role is measured by relationship depth, funded volume, and long-term revenue expansion.

This is a long-cycle, reputation-driven sales environment where patience, credibility, and consistent pipeline building compound over time.

Qualifications

  • 3–4 years of business development experience within the Personal Injury industry
  • A strong existing database of PI law firm relationships
  • Proven experience in one or more of the following:
    • Plaintiff or pre-settlement funding
    • Case expense or legal finance models
    • PI-focused medical or orthopedic groups (legal-facing relationships)
    • Software or services sold directly to Personal Injury law firms
  • A true hunter mentality with the ability to identify and access decision-makers
  • Relationship-focused approach; not transactional
  • Strong communication skills and professional presence
  • Strong Microsoft software experience, including Cloud Services
  • Memorable and credible at conferences and events
  • Strong listening skills, follow-through, and execution
  • Stable work history (not a role for frequent job changes)
  • A college degree is not required. Proven experience, relationships, and results matter more.

Requirements

  • Build, manage, and grow relationships with Personal Injury law firms locally and nationwide.
  • Proactively source and engage decision-makers at law firms
  • Set 5–10 weekly meetings with new prospects
  • Manage activity and pipeline using Salesforce
  • Grow and maintain relationships with company-provided house accounts
  • Attend local industry events in your territory and national conferences as needed
  • Work leads remotely and on the road within your region
  • Represent the company professionally within the PI legal community

Benefits

  • Base salary of $70,000–$90,000, plus commissions
  • Commission paid on 100% of funded deals — no floors, no ceilings, and no minimum thresholds to earn monthly commissions
  • Safe Harbor 401(k) with Profit Sharing
  • Comprehensive health care package, including:
    • Concierge medicine
    • $1,000 deductible plan
    • Full health insurance premiums covered after one year
  • PTO
