Role Description
This role involves supporting the construction phase of projects by assisting the RVP of Construction with front end duties and providing project support for production, safety, and quality to the Regional Construction Managers.
- Lead pre‑bid activities: gather plans/specs, review scope, request subcontractor quotes, and conduct site visits.
- Attend pre‑bid, pre‑construction, and progress meetings.
- Assist with bid forms, qualify sub‑trade proposals, and support full project cost estimating using internal tools.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise to Sales to help secure awards.
- Maintain all front‑end, submittal, and closeout documentation in the construction management system.
- Prepare weekly forecasts and production reports for Project Manager and VP of Construction & Estimating.
- Support RCM with pay application reviews.
- Track project progress, coordinate punch list completion, and ensure timely closeout (Certificates, maintenance handoff, checklists).
- Provide daily construction status updates to Project Manager, Sales, and leadership.
- Resolve operational and technical issues with customers, installers, subcontractors, and Sales.
- Perform field evaluations, minor on‑site repairs (after training), and pre‑punch site reviews.
- Provide owner training when required.
- Serve as regional customer service liaison and attend sales meetings as needed.
- Visit quarries and civil partners to verify material compliance and maintain relationships.
- Enforce company safety regulations, SOPs, and quality standards.
- Process RFIs and help resolve construction conflicts.
- Participate in Disaster Recovery planning.
- Support company goals, assist colleagues, and maintain strong multitasking and crisis‑management skills.
- Communicate clearly with customers and contractors, representing FieldTurf professionally.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2-4 years of experience in civil construction and/or construction estimating.
- Strong understanding of installation techniques, construction processes, and project documentation.
- Comfortable interacting with customers, contractors, and cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self‑motivated, disciplined, and able to work with limited supervision.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite as well as estimating software: Procore, Bid2win, Bluebeam or equivalent, preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to travel up to 50% of the year when needed.
