VertaforeWe believe insurance is about relationships. And technology should only make them stronger. We exist to empower independent agents, carriers, and MGAs. To drive their success. Because their success is our success. And their ambitions for tomorrow are our goals for today. Since our inception, we’ve been the technology backbone of the insurance industry. We began punching cards for independent agents over 50 years ago and turned this passion for technology into a relentless pursuit. Born of human-centric purpose, we empower our customers with the technology to garner trust. Built to adapt, we equip the insurance channel for the future—transforming business and relationships along the way. Where others see opposition, we see opportunity. To look ahead. To modernize. To prepare our customers for what’s next—because we’re always thinking about it. Always innovating. Always building. Always creating. Quite simply…we love insurance. Because behind every policy—is a person. And we’re obsessed with powering the spirit of our industry.
The primary responsibility involves orchestrating the installation, configuration, upgrade, maintenance, and break-fix of storage and backup systems across all data centers, ensuring availability, performance, disaster recovery, and security. This role also requires defining and optimizing backup infrastructure, providing technical support, and serving as the highest point of escalation for storage incidents.

DigitalOceanDigitalOcean is the Inference Cloud — a full-stack, production-ready cloud platform built to run AI applications with predictable performance, sustainable economics, and radically simpler operations at scale. We are built for teams turning AI into real products — not just training models. Our advantage is not fewer features, but fewer failure modes when operating AI at scale — combining minimal operational overhead, predictable cost efficiency, and a full-stack cloud that works as a system. Hyperscalers are broad by design. Neoclouds are infrastructure-first. DigitalOcean is inference-first — with a real cloud underneath. It combines inference-optimized compute, managed inference software, and integrated cloud capabilities that reduce operational burden for teams running real workloads. Inference is the foundation—not the boundary. Everything else builds on top of it.
The engineer will qualify and deploy firmware packages across Company products and components, working with vendors and internal teams on onboarding new firmware. They will also act as Tier 3 escalation for system firmware issues and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
