Job Description
This is for a new BPS AG entity- PureAcre
Reporting to the President, the Account Director is responsible for acquiring new customers and building the company sales team. The Account Director will focus on bringing all company products to targeted customers, including ag distribution, retail, and coops in the US. The ideal candidate will have experience in a related position, existing customer relationships, experience building a high-performing sales team, and a desire to be the best in the industry.
Sales:
- Build pipeline of new customers and close new business for all products.
- Solicit and sign new customers while managing existing ones.
- Execute distribution agreements in line with objectives.
- Provide a monthly forecast, including pipeline and committed volumes/revenue.
Leadership:
- Hire and develop high performing sales team with desired market coverage.
- Set annual/quarterly/monthly objectives for staff and hold team accountable for results.
- Provide necessary coaching to team with appropriate cadence.
Strategic Planning:
- Develop annual sales plan with key milestones and goals identified and execute against the plan.
- Support strategic planning and budget process.
- Inform business on customer needs and new product development ideas.
Travel
Travel is expected up to 60%.
Required Education and Experience
- 10+ years of combined sales and sales leadership experience in agriculture.
- Demonstrable experience in closing large deals and generating consistent sales growth.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Experience working with crop inputs such as biostimulants, fertilizers, seeds, etc. preferred
