Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

A Principal Consultant at Argano is a senior professional in the consulting family who provides leadership and guidance on complex issues. They are subject matter experts in their field of proficiency and can communicate the impact their recommendations will have across other workstreams and how it will impact the client's business objectives. They lead activities related to their workstream with clients and lead project management responsibilities related to their field of proficiency. They are responsible for delivering quality work within their field of proficiency within large client projects and leading the activities of other consultants. They provide expert advice, guidance, and solutions related to technology and information systems. They are mentors to other consultants and lead the activities of consultants in complicated workstreams to deliver quality work that will drive customer satisfaction. They model excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well within a project team or program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead mid to large size and complex consulting projects simultaneously.
  • Align existing client practices and procedures with validated HCM Cloud methods to solve client needs.
  • Identify business requirements and map them to the Oracle Cloud functionality.
  • Identify functionality gaps and develop solutions to them, through process or design.
  • Configure the Oracle Cloud to meet client requirements and document application set-ups.
  • Analyze and resolving functionality issues as well as proactively identifying long-term solutions.
  • Lead and present to clients and internally.
  • Build future process flow diagrams.
  • Advise clients on options, risks and any impacts on other processes or systems.
  • Manage scope and client expectations on individual assignments.
  • Lead and support clients with the execution of test scripts.
  • Participate in internal forums for training, teamwork, issue resolution and innovative design.
  • Be leaders with a vision in the Oracle Cloud space with innovative solutions around the product.
  • Develop and implement long-term client strategies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients. Effectively communicate with clients, team members, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Keep all parties informed about project progress, challenges, and changes.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives, challenges, and technology requirements. Conduct thorough assessments to identify areas where technology can drive improvements and efficiencies.
  • Provide expert advice on technology solutions and tools that can enhance the client's operations. Help clients make informed decisions about adopting and implementing new technologies.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and suppliers to source necessary hardware, software, or services. Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best terms for the client.
  • Offer ongoing technical support to address any issues or concerns that arise after implementation.
  • Continuously monitor the performance of implemented solutions to identify areas for improvement or optimization. Provide recommendations for updates, upgrades, or modifications as needed.

MINIMUM AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

EDUCATION: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, etc. 

EXPERIENCE

  • Module-specific experience in Time and Absence Modules. 
  • 10 years of consulting experience or in related field. 
  • Demonstrated experience in understanding of business practice concepts in your module of expertise.
  • Track record of building long-lasting relationships with your clients
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 5 full life cycle Oracle HCM Cloud implementations
  • Preferred consulting experience in a similar role in a professional services firm or industry experience at a strategic level is required.
  • Previous experience working in IT companies. 
  • In-depth knowledge of the technologies and systems relevant.
  • Ability to understand fundamental system design and purpose.
  • Ability to engage effectively at the business and technical level.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of project implementation methodologies
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of challenges commonly faced by client and implementation teams.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to plan work effort and manage priorities.
  • Willing to travel as necessary.

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Oracle certified in your module of expertise.
  • Ability to manage/deliver large projects, including experience in planning and estimating.
  • Validated ability to support sales as Subject Matter Expert
  • Understanding of business-related drivers and parameters

SKILL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Communication: Proficient in English written and verbal communications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Complex Project Management: Senior Consultants are responsible for leading multiple complex projects, necessitating exceptional project management skills.
  • Thought Leadership: Providing thought leadership and industry expertise is critical in projects. 
  • Client Acquisition: They should have strong business development skills to acquire new clients and expand existing relationships.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Indirectly developing and coaching junior and mid-level consultants is a significant responsibility.
  • Strategic Vision: Lead Consultants should contribute to the firm's strategic vision and decision-making.
  • Executive Presence: The ability to interact effectively with senior client executives is important.
