Role Description

This role is responsible for preparing initial CD's & closing CD's, and balancing Titles.

  • Communication: Liaises among customers (both internal and external) and escrow companies to coordinate document preparation, loan signing, funding and recording of documents.
  • Organization: Ensures loan files are complete with all outstanding issues addressed prior to submission for funding.
  • Coordination: Coordinates funding requests and follows up for required documentation and conditions for all pre- and post-closing items.
  • Equipment: Uses such office equipment as computer terminals, copiers and FAX machines.
  • Physical: Sits for extended time periods. Hearing and vision within normal ranges.
  • Compliance/initial CD: Works with the Lender in the process of sending the Initial CD out for signatures.
  • Prepares and routes closing document packages, including loan docs and escrow instructions to appropriate destinations.
  • Maintains document mailing/conversation log.
  • Identify and review problem files and take corrective action to facilitate accurate document preparation; inform manager on status of problem files, requesting assistance if necessary.
  • Prepares the Initial CD for the Lender to send out to the borrower for signatures.
  • Prepares the COC CD for any changes required by the Lender or Borrower.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one to two years of drawing loan docs (or comparable experience).
  • Strong interpersonal-communication and business-relationship skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Excellent analytical, written communication and verbal communication skills.
  • Technologically proficient.
  • Proven negotiating skills and forecasting capabilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
