Job Description
Role Description
This role is responsible for preparing initial CD's & closing CD's, and balancing Titles.
- Communication: Liaises among customers (both internal and external) and escrow companies to coordinate document preparation, loan signing, funding and recording of documents.
- Organization: Ensures loan files are complete with all outstanding issues addressed prior to submission for funding.
- Coordination: Coordinates funding requests and follows up for required documentation and conditions for all pre- and post-closing items.
- Equipment: Uses such office equipment as computer terminals, copiers and FAX machines.
- Physical: Sits for extended time periods. Hearing and vision within normal ranges.
- Compliance/initial CD: Works with the Lender in the process of sending the Initial CD out for signatures.
- Prepares and routes closing document packages, including loan docs and escrow instructions to appropriate destinations.
- Maintains document mailing/conversation log.
- Identify and review problem files and take corrective action to facilitate accurate document preparation; inform manager on status of problem files, requesting assistance if necessary.
- Prepares the Initial CD for the Lender to send out to the borrower for signatures.
- Prepares the COC CD for any changes required by the Lender or Borrower.
Qualifications
- Minimum one to two years of drawing loan docs (or comparable experience).
- Strong interpersonal-communication and business-relationship skills.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
- Excellent analytical, written communication and verbal communication skills.
- Technologically proficient.
- Proven negotiating skills and forecasting capabilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
