Overview

Are you ready to build meaningful relationships and make a real difference in the insurance world? As an Underwriter/Broker, you’ll focus on growing our business, maintaining strong client connections, and expanding our client base. You’ll collaborate with carrier underwriters, stay ahead of market trends, and help clients navigate complex challenges with confidence.

 

This is a fully remote opportunity, focused on supporting business in the West.


How you'll make an impact

  • Primary focus is to assist in servicing and operational management of accounts.
  • Underwrites, services, and manages assigned accounts.
  • Has service goals assigned and is measured on attainment of both.
  • Underwrites individual insurance applications to cover property and casualty with guidelines set for the issuance of policies on a standard or substandard basis.
  • Determines whether to accept, modify or decline a risk through evaluation of the property's value, location, usage, and safety features, and other information pertinent to the decision.
  • Has frequent contact with field to gather information on which to base and defend underwriting decisions.

About You

Here’s what you’ll bring to the role:

  • A bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
  • A knack for building strong relationships with clients, carriers, and industry stakeholders.
  • The ability to explain complex issues in simple terms and deliver solutions that work.
  • A commitment to staying updated on industry developments and regulatory changes.
  • Prior experience working in the western region is preferred.

Compensation and benefits

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
