Role Description

The Manager of AI Literacy & Adoption is a hands-on educator and change leader responsible for accelerating the Association’s mission through the strategic adoption of artificial intelligence. Reporting to the Sr. Director of AI + Digital Transformation, this role serves as the lead architect for organizational AI fluency—ensuring our workforce is equipped with the right tools, the confidence to use them, and a clear line of sight between AI-driven efficiency and mission impact.

You will be a bridge-builder between our AI strategy, our technology infrastructure, and our mission-driven staff. Your job is to make AI approachable, demonstrate its value, and ensure that every hour of efficiency gained is an hour returned to care, support, and the search for a cure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Communications, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in organizational change management, digital transformation, or professional development within a large, matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with enterprise AI platforms (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, or similar)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible, mission-aligned language
  • Deep understanding of human-technology interaction and behavioral change principles

Requirements

  • Design and implement a multi-tiered, role-specific learning program that builds AI competence across the entire Association.
  • Develop self-paced digital learning paths, live virtual workshops, and peer coaching sessions that cultivate a “try-first” culture of experimentation.
  • Apply behavioral science principles to address resistance, build psychological safety, and accelerate technology adoption.
  • Develop intervention strategies and choice architecture that move staff from awareness to confident, habitual use of AI tools.
  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert on enterprise AI platforms and emerging agentic workflows.
  • Help teams move beyond basic prompting to deploy sophisticated, reusable AI-powered practices that streamline complex administrative and mission-related tasks.
  • Partner with AI Steering Committee to build internal momentum for AI adoption.
  • Draft leader toolkits, talking points, and impact reports that translate technical ROI into human-centric success stories for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with field offices, development teams, IT, HR (specifically L&D), and information security to identify where AI can amplify grassroots organizing, fundraising, research support, and operational efficiency.
  • Turn localized wins into scalable national best practices.
  • Identify, train, and mentor a network of AI Champions across departments.
  • Facilitate a Community of Practice where power users share workflows, troubleshoot issues, and drive peer-to-peer learning at scale.
  • Define and track key metrics related to AI literacy, adoption sentiment, and tool utilization.
  • Deliver data-driven insights to leadership on the health and trajectory of AI adoption across the organization.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, flex accounts, short and long-term disability, life insurance, long-term care insurance, tuition reimbursement, generous Paid Time Off, and 12 annual holidays.
  • Paid Family Leave, as well as an annual Cultural & Heritage Day and Volunteer Day of their choosing.
  • Eligibility for a gold standard 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Full-time employees (37.5 hours/week) will enjoy additional benefits including an annual School Visitation Day and an Elder Care Facility Day of their choosing.
