Job Summary

Aptive is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager to support a large-scale federal program responsible for coordinating nationwide production and delivery of branded materials across hundreds of federal facilities.

 

The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact between the government client, internal project teams, and external vendors, ensuring that production, order tracking, shipping logistics, and delivery timelines are managed effectively. This role requires a professional who can manage multiple moving pieces simultaneously, maintain clear communication with stakeholders, and ensure the timely execution of program deliverables.

 

The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrates exceptional organizational and communication skills, and can coordinate complex operational efforts involving multiple vendors, timelines, and deliverables.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for the government client, coordinating project updates, timelines, and issue resolution.
  • Manage and track large volumes of production orders, deliveries, and vendor activities, ensuring accurate documentation and status reporting.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal team members to oversee production schedules, shipping timelines, and delivery logistics.
  • Establish processes and maintain detailed project trackers and reporting tools to monitor progress, milestones, risks, and dependencies across the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and deliver regular status reports, briefings, and performance updates to internal leadership and government stakeholders.
  • Monitor project performance to ensure activities remain within scope, schedule, and budget; identify operational risks or potential delays and work with vendors and internal teams to implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure project documentation, communications, and deliverables meet quality standards and contractual requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, project management, logistics, operations management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience supporting project management, program coordination, or operations management efforts.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track complex projects involving numerous tasks and dependencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large operational efforts involving multiple stakeholders and external partners.
  • Experience developing project trackers, dashboards, or reporting tools to monitor progress and performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience interacting directly with clients or stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Teams, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project team.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federal government contracts or programs.
  • Experience coordinating production, logistics, supply chain, or nationwide delivery efforts.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies or tools such as Smartsheet, Asana, Jira, or Microsoft Project.
  • PMP or other project management certification preferred.
