Role Description

This role is ideal for an experienced quality engineering leader who thrives at the intersection of people, technology, and process. You will build and guide a team responsible for enabling product and engineering teams to take ownership of their quality practices while balancing automation with effective exploratory testing. You will drive the adoption of AI-assisted quality tools, improve CI/CD pipelines, and create reusable frameworks that scale across multiple teams. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence testing strategy, embed quality into daily delivery, and shape how high-performing engineering organizations measure and achieve software excellence. Your work will directly improve product reliability, developer trust, and overall delivery efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

  • Lead, grow, and mentor a Quality Enablement team, coaching product and engineering teams on testing best practices.
  • Define and evolve a balanced test strategy, increasing automation while preserving manual and exploratory testing where most impactful.
  • Build and maintain test infrastructure integrated into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliable and actionable quality signals.
  • Enable team-owned testing through standards, templates, tooling, and contribution models.
  • Evaluate, pilot, and implement AI-assisted quality engineering approaches, such as automated test generation, self-healing tests, and risk-based test selection, then create reusable enablement patterns.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to embed quality into daily delivery, improve test reliability, and increase developer confidence.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a people manager leading technical or quality-focused teams.
  • Strong background in quality engineering and test automation, including hands-on integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience transitioning organizations from manual testing toward automated, continuous quality practices.
  • Excellent engineering fundamentals, problem-solving, and collaborative leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with quality platforms, enablement teams, or SaaS continuous delivery environments is a plus.
  • Experience with AI-assisted testing, test observability, contract testing, or progressive delivery is desirable.
  • University degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
