Role Description

STGi is currently seeking a Medical Assistant - Case Review Specialist to support our Federal Occupational Health (FOH) contract in San Francisco, CA. The position is remote and open to candidates nationwide. Local San Francisco staff may be required to go into the office on a limited basis.

Provides direct support to the mission of Federal Occupational Health (FOH), a component of the Program Support Center (PSC), to improve the health, safety, and productivity of the Federal workforce by performing fulfillment of case review activities.

  • Review of service and provider fulfillment.
  • Interact with internal and external customers regarding questions and clarification of services.
  • Coordinate service delivery with FOH Business Operations team.
  • Ensure exam scheduling, management and processing of medical records, QA checks, and charges/administrative fees are entered on exams.
  • Ensure complete exams are sent to the Reviewing Medical Officer (RMO) for review in a timely manner.
  • Reach out to clinics to retrieve missing exam items.
  • Work with Occupational Health Clinics (OHC) to ensure all portions of exams are billed appropriately.
  • Collaborate with FOH team members to meet customer needs.
  • Relay any concerns raised by customers to Program Manager (PM).

Qualifications

  • Understanding of the Case Review process.
  • Competencies in all areas of case review.
  • Proficient in IT systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat.
