Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Chartered Accountant or experienced Financial Controller to assist with a short-term accounting project focused on cleaning up prior-period financial records. This role requires a strong technical understanding of balance sheets, journal entries, and financial reporting, along with solid hands-on experience using QuickBooks.

The successful candidate will initially support a 3–6 month clean-up project. If the engagement proves successful, there is strong potential for ongoing Financial Controller–level work supporting the business on a regular basis.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant / CPA or experienced Financial Controller
  • Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks
  • Excellent understanding of balance sheets, reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Proven experience cleaning up or restructuring accounting records
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the clean-up process
  • Strong communication skills

  • Experience working with small to mid-sized businesses
