Role Description

This position is part of the Data & AI Center of Excellence (DACOE) Training Program. This is a full-time, salaried position beginning June 1, 2026, designed to launch your career as a Data & AI Associate Consultant through our Data & AI Center of Excellence (DACOE). You will start with an immersive paid training program, where you’ll build a strong foundation in Microsoft Data Platforms.

Program Details

  • Start Date: June 1, 2026
  • Training Length: 10 weeks (paid at your regular salary rate)
  • Training Format: Hybrid (fully remote position POST training)
  • Approximately 50% onsite at our Denver headquarters
  • Onsite weeks are Monday–Thursday; Fridays are remote
  • All travel, lodging, and meals are fully covered during onsite training

  • Offers expected no later than end of April/early May

Description

The Data & AI Associate Consultant is responsible for being a partner to team members and directly enabling growth of the Data & AI Services team at MCA. The Associate Consultant is expected to be involved in all aspects of project implementations, support innovation, be committed to upskilling, and partner with leadership to drive continuous improvement.

Within a project framework, the Associate Consultant is responsible for:

  • Building client relationships
  • Effectively utilizing Agile project delivery methodologies
  • Implementing technical solutions to satisfy client requirements
  • Performing hands-on implementations of Microsoft data solutions for MCA Connect’s current and future customers/projects

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse projects and grow your career in data engineering and analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Support requirements gathering and documentation
  • Support data mapping analysis and documentation tasks
  • Support dimensional modeling for advanced analytics
  • Build, maintain, and support data integration pipelines
  • Implement basic data transformations using SQL, Python, and DAX
  • Build Power BI reports and visuals
  • Conduct working sessions with clients
  • Support basic ad hoc requests from clients
  • Communicate findings or problems to clients and identify next steps
  • Estimate tasks and track work to completion using Azure DevOps
  • Contribute to version control of source code for data solutions
  • Perform validation of data pipeline performance and accuracy
  • Use bench time to improve technical capabilities, obtain certifications, train others, and support pre-sales processes
  • Must be open to ~10% travel on an as needed basis

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years Data Analytics utilizing SQL, ETL (ADF Pipelines/SSIS), Power BI or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing data solutions for business problems
  • Knowledge of Relational Databases, Object Oriented Design, and Data Structures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Professional business demeanor
  • Customer-focused attitude and desire to interface directly with end-user clients
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and other relevant parties
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience preferable
  • Knowledge of Microsoft ERP and CRM tools desirable
  • Kimball Dimensional Modeling and batch/incremental ETL development approaches
  • Committed to mentoring and upskilling teammates
  • Committed to learning, exploring new ideas, and staying at the leading edge
  • Creativity to initiate new ideas and think out of the norm
  • Committed to quality and ability to solve customer problems without conflict

Requirements

  • $65,000 - $95,000 a year
  • Plus additional annual bonus between $10,000 - $15,000 (paid quarterly)
