GPTZero is on a mission to restore trust and transparency on the internet. As the leading AI detection platform, we empower educators, students, journalists, marketers, and writers to navigate the evolving landscape of AI-generated content.
We’re looking for a content writer with a deep understanding of English composition, academic writing, and essay structure. You’ll produce approximately 50 high-quality blog posts over a 3–5 month engagement, covering topics like:
- How to write argumentative essays
- Thesis statements
- Narrative writing
- Research papers
- And more
What you'll do:
- Research and write SEO-optimized blog posts on English writing topics (essay types, writing techniques, academic formats, professional documents)
- Gather insights and real-world examples from communities like Reddit, student forums, and educator networks to make content relatable and authentic
- Optimize content for target keywords, search intent, internal/external linking, and on-page SEO best practices
Qualifications
- Strong English & academic writing background — you’ve taught, tutored, or studied English composition at the university level
- 2–5 years of professional content writing or copywriting experience with a portfolio of published work
- Proven track record writing SEO content that ranks — you understand keyword research, search intent, on-page optimization, and content structure
- Excellent attention to detail — you deliver clean, well-structured drafts that require minimal editing
- Based in the United States or Canada

- Experience writing for EdTech, SaaS, or AI-related brands (Nice to Have)
- Familiarity with AI writing tools and AI detection (Nice to Have)
- Background in journalism, publishing, or editorial work (Nice to Have)
- Experience using SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Clearscope, or SurferSEO (Nice to Have)
