Role Description
This position will support government accounts. Therefore, due to federal export-control regulations, the selected candidate must hold U.S. citizenship, U.S. lawful permanent resident/Green Card status or otherwise have a category of refugee/asylee status enabling them to perform the role without requiring a license under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
We are seeking a Workforce Broker to join our Professional Services Delivery Global team. This role aligns the organization’s talent with current and future business needs by managing resource allocation, forecasting demand, and fostering strong relationships with delivery teams and business leaders. As the central coordination point, you will ensure projects are staffed effectively, resources are fully utilized, and workforce risks are proactively identified and addressed. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence how professional services are staffed and delivered across engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Resource Allocation: Match available talent and skillsets to project requirements, ensuring optimal utilization and timely delivery of services.
- Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with project managers and business leaders to anticipate staffing needs and proactively plan for resource requirements.
- Talent Pool Management: Access database of workforce skills, certifications, availability, and preferences to facilitate effective assignments.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact between delivery teams, project managers, and talent pools to resolve resource conflicts and align priorities.
- Onboarding Coordination: Facilitate the onboarding of new resources into projects, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and readiness for delivery.
- Reporting and Analytics: Generate and analyze workforce utilization reports, providing actionable insights to management for decision-making.
- Agility & Flexibility: Respond quickly to shifting business demands and project changes by reallocating resources to meet evolving needs.
- Continuous Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with all stakeholders to ensure transparency, manage expectations, and support successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- Typically, Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience and a minimum of 6 years related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience.
Requirements
- Workforce planning and resource allocation knowledge.
- Analytical skills and data proficiency (familiar with HPE’s data privacy and Standards of Business Conduct policies).
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management.
- Organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Adaptability and proactive problem-solving.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a technical/Professional Services delivery organization preferred.
- Familiar with PSA platforms.
- Microsoft Office Product Suite, Smartsheet, SharePoint, PBI, etc.
- High-level understanding of core technology domains (infrastructure, cloud, automation, and security) is helpful to make informed resourcing decisions.
- Background in professional services delivery for enterprise IT, managed services, or technology consulting; exposure to HPE product/service lines or GreenLake.
- Vendor Management and Global Procurement background.
- Familiar with supporting US Federal accounts/projects.
