Job Description

• Lead business development strategy, including working alongside leadership to set KPIs for success. • Learn and maintain an in-depth understanding of Caliber’s capabilities and the industries we service. • Proactively identify new business leads and own the process of engaging with and closing prospects. • Sell the value of Caliber with confidence and conviction during introductory calls and pitches. • Work with Caliber’s leadership team to help them tap into their networks and liaise between prospects and relevant leadership team members. • Support organic growth within Caliber’s existing client base, working with our team leads to help uncover potential scope expansion opportunities. • Vet RFIs and RFPs and, if deemed appropriate, work with team members to develop responses and ensure timely and impactful submission. • Work closely with individual team members to craft and refine successful capabilities and proposal decks. • Prepare and review consulting agreements and amendments in close coordination with management. • Work closely with our senior leadership team to finalize staffing of all new clients and ensure a successful handover to the client team. • Ensure our sales CRM is consistently updated. • Develop and maintain ongoing target lead lists. • Create monthly and quarterly business development reports for Caliber’s CEO and senior leadership team. • Remain current on trends within Caliber’s industries of focus. • Represent Caliber at 4 to 6 relevant conferences and events per year to forge new relationships and support existing partnerships.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years relevant sales experience (selling to fintechs and/or financial institutions), ideally in a public relations agency setting.
  • Experience in shaping the business development processes, directing new business strategies and developing sharp, tailored proposals.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients and high-level executives both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven track record of closing new business.
  • Excellent project management and multitasking skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at once, work quickly while paying attention to detail and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
