Micron is seeking a dedicated Environmental Compliance Manager to join our team in Clay, NY. This is an outstanding chance to create a significant impact by ensuring that our NY project meets the highest environmental standards. You will play a crucial role in crafting the future of our environmental strategy, working alongside experienced professionals to build solutions that support both project and business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead environmental compliance, permitting, and regulatory strategy for the New York project
  • Oversee acquisition, modification, and maintenance of environmental permits and represent Micron with New York State and local agencies
  • Integrate environmental requirements into project planning and execution across Facilities, Construction, Engineering, and Project Management
  • Identify and mitigate environmental and schedule risks tied to permitting, approvals, and compliance
  • Lead development and implementation of environmental management systems, including ISO 14001

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • 5 years directing environmental compliance programs
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience
  • Experience supporting large‑scale construction projects in New York, including permitting, agency coordination, and compliance oversight
  • Strong data analysis, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Experience building and sustaining environmental management systems
  • Experience in financial planning, including budgeting and forecasting for environmental programs

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$108,000.00 - $237,000.00 a year

Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
