Derq is an MIT spinoff building AI-powered traffic safety and smart infrastructure. We’re a team of passionate innovators, leveraging the latest in AI and technology to transform the future of mobility. Our platform enhances road safety and traffic management by turning real-time data into actionable insights for cities and road operators. Our patented technology collects and analyzes data from connected sensors like cameras, radar, and traffic signal controllers to help predict and prevent road incidents. We deploy edge and cloud solutions that make intersections and highways safer and smarter.
Role Overview
We are looking for adynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to drive revenue growth in the U.S. Midwest market. You will be responsible for selling Derq’s intelligent transportation solutions to state, county, and municipal agencies, and partners. Reporting to the EVP of Sales, you will execute sales strategies, build strong relationships, and drive opportunities from prospecting to close.
Key Responsibilities
- Being proficient with Derq’s systems and software solutions
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies and key stakeholders
- Identify new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and market research
- Manage a network of business partners and distribution channels
- Monitor and support in responding to relevant RFPs and RFIs
- Stay informed on industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities
- Represent Derq at industry events, conferences, and public speaking engagements
- Maintain CRM records for accurate forecasting and pipeline management
Job Requirements
- 7+ years of experience selling Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) solutions and/or AI-driven transportation technology to U.S. government agencies
- 2+ years of experience in technical sales
- Proven ability to manage distribution partners and grow customer accounts
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a team-oriented and collaborative approach
- Experience working remotely with minimal oversight with proven decision-making skills
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Must be based in the Midwest (US)
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the (U.S)
